The most sustainable and effective way to reduce the carbon footprint of the NHS is to embed patient safety into its core function - keep patients well and out of hospital.
By ensuring patients are on the right medicines with the right monitoring and are effectively supported, this programme will save over £500 million for the NHS and reduce carbon emissions by 500 thousand tonnes a year. the service ensures the appropriate use of clinical data, smart analytics and NHS patient support programmes to deliver improved compliance, monitoring and outcomes for patients with a significant impact on the NHS carbon footprint.

These funds are used to support prescribing Carbon offset programmes for the NHS. All GP surgeries, Primary Care Networks, CCGs / ICSs will have free access to this service.
There is absolute compliance with best practice guidelines for NHS engagement. All optimisations are locally selected and secondarily validated by the regional NHS organisations.
